155 Hotels and Govt Agencies Ready to Receive THK Awards 2017

     A TOTAL of 155 hotels and government agencies are ready to receive THK Awards 2017. They consist of 40 5-star hotels, 43 4-star hotels, 10 1-, 2-, 3-star hotels, 18 boutique hotels and 5 Jasmine-rated hotels scattered throughout the Island of Bali. In addition, there are 9 tourist attractions, 9 government agencies, 6 college campuses and 15 schools (junior and senior high school / vocational school).

     According to the Chairman of THK Awards Committee 2017, Wisnu Wardana, this year his organization noted the highest achievement in terms of the num- ber of participants while previ- ously they were usually below 100 participants. “And, the quality of participants also increased, where most of them have gained emerald award,” he said.

     He added that of the 155 par- ticipating hotels and government agencies, four participants will re- ceive Tri Hita Karana CSR Awards 2017. The four participants have consistently and continu- ously donated their CSR funds to improve the wel- fare of Balinese people. For example, some hotels have set aside their CSR funds for home refurbishment program and provision of scholarship for poor students until they graduate from high school. After graduating, they are employed at the hotel and now they are receiving a scholarship for Tourism Diploma level.

     Aside from the Tri Hita Karana CSR Awards 2017, the awarding night of the THK Awards 2017 is also enlivened with the award con- ferment to Public Relations (PR). Of the 24 public relation officers tak- ing part in the interview test, two candidates are entitled to receive the Sympathetic PR 2017 medal.

     The public relations officers consist of Luh Ocha Resmini (Sheraton Kuta), Gusti Ayu Made Aryastiti (Wapa di Ume), Ni Putu Dessy Oktarini (Hard Rock Hotel Bali), I Wayan Sukerena (Indo- nesia Power of Bali Generation Unit), Putri Wirasari (The Anvaya Beach Resort Bali), I Dewa Ayu Sasmitaadi (Alila Villas Uluwatu), Rizka Fitriana (Aston Kuta Hotel & Residence), Gede Agus Mahardana (Bali Dynasty Resort), Wiryanti Le- stari Wiejaya (Desa Visesa Ubud), Ni Made Tina Mulya Dewi (Dis- covery Kartika Plaza Hotel), IGAA Gayatri Sukmawati (Grand Aston Bali Beach Resort), Komang Ayu Trisanti (Grand Inna Bali Beach), Felicia Anindita Sunanto Putri (Grand Istana Rama Hotel), Ni Made Ayu Puspasari (H Sovereign Bali), Luh Winda Juni Artini (No- votel Bali Benoa), Ni Made Midi Apriyanti (Novotel Bali Benoa), Dewa Ayu Made Anita Dwijay- antini (The Patra Bali), Kadek Dwi Wahyuni (PT Taman Nusa), Nyoman Trya Wahyudha (The One Legian), Yusri Dewi (The Sanctoo), Ni Kadek Arianti (Villa Lumbung), Maria Christi n e Sadipun (Hilton Bali Resort), Putu Bintang Agustini (Bali Safari & Marine Park) and Irma Wahyu Janatin Panti (Bali Safari & Marine Park).

     Similarly, there are also 12 par- ticipants of Balinese food festival competing for the Melapa-Melapi Awards 2017.
