Bali National Golf Club Invites Golfers to Celebrate Australia Day on the golf course

Australia Day - the official national day of Australia is celebrated each year on January 26th.

January 26, 2019, marks the 231st anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales, and the raising of the Flag of Great Britain at Sydney Cove by Governor Arthur Phillip.

Whether held in the heart of Sydney, a remote rural town in Australia’s “outback” or in any distant lands where “Aussies” gather together - celebrations for this special day reflect the diverse society and landscape of the Australian Nation and are marked by community and family events, reflections on Australian history, official community awards, and citizenship ceremonies welcoming new members of the Australian community.

Similarly, Bali National Golf Club invites all golfers – Aussie or otherwise - to celebrate the festivities of Australia Day at the 3rd Annual Australia Day Golf Tournament on Saturday, January 26, 2019, with shotgun start at 12.30 pm. The tournament is open not only for Australians, but it is for everyone who would love to experience the celebrations and festivities of Australia Day.

“This event is now become one of our signature events. The enthusiasm from golfers of all nationalies has always amazed us. The day is completely themed for Australia Day. Many players come to the club dressed up in their Australian  attire ready for a great day on the course.  With Vegemite sandwiches, Lamington Cakes, traditional Aussie BBQ, and a range of fun on-course activities, players really enjoy the spirit and comraderie of the day,” said Mark Holland, general manager of Bali National Golf Club.BTNewspaper/balidiscovery.com
