Participate Coastal Clean-up Day

     MELIA Bali participates in International Coastal Cleanup Day 2015 that was held simultaneously on Saturday, 19 September 2015, arranged by Ocean Conservancy and Bali Hotels Association. From plastic bottles, plastic in all sizes, paper waste, toys and cigarette buds, were all collected and weighed in.

     A total of 9 trash bags were filled with an estimated 12,5 kilograms, collected along the shores of Nusa Dua beach for around 1 kilometers by 37 members of staffs and management of Meliá Bali.

     Chairwoman of Community Involvement Program at Meliá Bali, Wayan Wetny, stated “Meliá Bali has always been committed in maintaining the cleanliness of Bali’s environment. The management recognizes the importance of not compromising the environment to achieve our goals.”

     General Manager of Meliá Bali, Eduardo Perera Castro, also added, “With the latest Master Achievement from EarthCheck International, we are proud to carry on the tradition of maintaining our environment with a dedication to the principles of sustainable tourism.” *BTNewspaper/Siti Annisa/MarComm Manager/e
